Born in Dublin, Ireland, on July 26, 1856, George Bernard Shaw was the only son and third and youngest child of George Carr and Lucinda Elizabeth Gurly Shaw. Librarian and historian. Landreth was born in 1892 in Nashville, Tennessee. After visiting Ireland in 1925, she abandoned a career in journalism and decided to devote her life to the study of Irish history. To further her research, Landreth moved to Ireland in 1938 and formed close ties many individuals prominent in Irish politics.
